FairyTell is a brand owned by Goveni SRL d.b.a. FairyTell ("we", "us", "our", "FairyTell"), a company registered in Belgium. FairyTell is committed to protecting the privacy of our users. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, store, and disclose information provided by users ("you") while using the FairyTell mobile application or fairytell.app website (the "App"). By using the App, you consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

a. User-Provided Information: When you use the App, you will provide us with certain information to generate stories, such as names, characteristics, and preferences of the story characters. We do not collect personal information unless otherwise shared.

b. Technical Data: We automatically collect technical data about your device, such as your device type, operating system, and IP address.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

a. Provide the App and its services such as story generation.

b. Improve the App and its algorithms by analyzing usage patterns and user preferences.

c. Detect and prevent fraudulent activity and ensure the security of the App.

Sharing Your Information

We use certain third party tools for the purpose of hosting the App, analyze its performance, and more. This includes:

  1. Google LLC: To distribute the App on the Google Play Store for Android. To understand and improve our App's performance with Google Analytics. To handle authentication for users that opt into it. To process and handle payments and refunds.

  2. Apple Inc.: To distribute the App on the Apple App Store. To handle authentication for users that opt into it. To process and handle payments and refunds.

  3. OpenAI Inc.: To create stories based on the user's input. For research and development purposes.

  4. Supabase Inc.: To host the app and user data.

  5. Stripe Inc.: To process and handle payments and refunds.

  6. Sinch Email: To subscribe users to newsletters on an opt-in basis with Mailjet.

We do not knowingly share any personally-identifiable information with those third parties.

Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, or as required by law, and for a maximum of ten (10) years. Once your data is no longer required, we will securely delete or anonymize it.

Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information.

Your Rights

Under applicable data protection laws, you may have certain rights with respect to your personal information, which include the right to access, rectify, erase or export your data as well as other restrictions to data processing by us and on our behalf.

We may provide capabilities in-app to exercise these rights, but you may also contact us (see the Contact Us section of this Privacy Policy).

The Rights of Children

We do not knowingly collect or retain data about children. Children under the age of 13 may not use the App. If we detect use of an account of a child under the age of 13, we will immediately delete it and all data attached to it.
During the app's use, you may not use personally-identifiable information about real children under the age of 13 in the App. We will proactively delete any and all personally-identifiable information about children under the age of 13. You may inform us at any time about such data by contacting us. If we become aware of having collected personal information from a child under the age of 13, we will promptly delete it.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you through the App or by other appropriate means. Your continued use of the App after any changes signifies your acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
